The constant moving scenery of the city and its citizens, the backdrop, the buildings, the street art, the posters, the personality of the citizens, all tell a different story ready to be unearthed by an observant eye.

Hong Kong is a melting pot of culture. The western and eastern worldview come together in a city full of contradictions. Modern architectural forms blend with the traditional chinese open spaces, market stalls with dried fish and exotic veggies stand side by side to french brasseries and organic wine bars.

Only movements concern me
Video installationFour strangers share their personal stories of dislocation, their rises and falls, their acceptance or rejection of a vague past and their adaption to the new circumstances. The narration is accompanied by a film projection, which captures a constant moving scenery of the city and its citizens; their figures dissolve into the blurred cityscape and then reappear depending on the speed of the journey.

The multi-cultural metropolis provides a unique background that blends with the people being photographed. On the other hand each person's story transforms the way we view the city. In every conversation the keyword remains fashion but just as an excuse to ask questions and listen to the people describing themselves and their habits- ways of surviving the urban jungle.
