The CRUK Hackathon Event
Hackathon Event for Cancer Research UK
The brief
The brief was to present and promote a CRUK fundraising event; we grouped into teams and choose our project. My team decided to do a virtual marathon event that would be running alongside the London marathon. The idea was to get our message across compellingly by advertising the event to a broad audience across a variety of media, both offline and online. We wanted to inspire people from a wide range of age, cultural and social groups to donate or participate. In a few words: ‘Show optimism, show collectiveness, engage the user, stay close to the CRUK brand guidelines”.

the teamWorked in a team with the CRUK Innovation and Marketing department and other proffesional Designers from major UK advertising agencies.
What we did
Not a lot you can do in 48 hours, but with my team we managed to build a prototype of an app that was tracking your steps and gave you the ability to run your own marathon in real time with the event.
